A major cause for celebration at the Hotel Monte Mulini with senior officials recently confirming the property has been approve as a member of the prestigious hospitality organisation ‘The Leading Hotels of the World’.
The Croatian hotel which is nestled in a serene bay near the picture perfect old town of Rovinj, in the country’s Istria region was only established in 2009 as the first five-star hotel in the area, yet it has quickly become renowned as one of Croatia’s most elegant and refined holiday establishments.
Built into the hillside of the Golden Cape and surrounded by the beautiful and bosky Zlatni Rt Park Forest the Hotel Monte Mulini contains 113 well equipped, stylishly decorated and comfortable guestrooms, all of which provide scintillating sea views. As well as a fantastic pool and opulent spa the hotel proudly boasts two gourmet restaurants, the Restaurant Mediterraneo which offers Mediterranean fusion cuisine and the Wine Vault which, as well as being considered one of Croatia’s top fine dining restaurants, also boasts a wine cellar with over 600 Croatian and international wines.
Gaining membership to the Leading Hotels of the World is no mean achievement as the Hotel Monte Mulini had to meet a number of strict requirements. These included being categorised as a luxury hotel as well as meeting definitive standards of excellence with respect to accommodations, service, cuisine, employee behaviour and facilities. In other words all aspects of a hotel that affect a guest’s level of comfort, convenience and mood.
Meticulously detailed inspection reports, which are based on hundreds of distinct and strict criteria, are filed with the Executive Committee whose members then decide whether to accept or reject the hotel. Only the world’s most distinguished accommodation providers are awarded the status of The Leading Hotels of the World in an attempt to ensure consistency of selection.
