He has won 6 Grammys and 4 Emmys, has recorded countless number one singles and starred in a number of top Hollywood movies. He owns a record label, a fashion label, some restaurants and a part of MySpace and the Memphis Grizzlies. He has dated some of the world’s most beautiful women including Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel (to whom he is married), owns a beautiful home and is a multi-millionaire. Yet despite all this fame and wealth Justin Timberlake still has his feet on the ground. So much so that when he needed a hotel in London on Sunday night just gone he decided against booking in to an exclusive deluxe 5 star hotel and instead made a hotel reservation at the Premier Inn Stratford.
Looking for a place to catch up on some sleep after his joint headlining performance with Jay-Z at the London’s Wireless Festival, 32 year old Timberlake, whose hit records include ‘SexyBack’ and ‘Cry Me A River’, apparently chose this £95 a night budget accommodation option over some of the more luxurious London hotels that he is perhaps more used to.
A three star property with 267 spacious rooms that offer wonderful panoramic views of the wharf and the city, Timberlake wasn’t exactly slumming it. His room would have had a flat screen television, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities and a private bathroom. Yet his decision did not prompt the other stars of the show to follow suit.
Rihanna who also performed decided to stay at the deluxe 5 star 45 Park Lane hotel in Mayfair instead, where the cheapest rooms run from around £500 per night.
